This further training course is aimed specifically at hardware and software developers and mechatronics engineers who are already developing components and systems in accordance with functional safety or will be doing so in the future. It is designed to translate the basic requirements of IEC 61508 and ISO 13849 into technical solutions within 2 or 4 days. The branch of mechanics deals with the special requirements of mechanical systems in mechanical engineering and construction. The safe use of common terms and standards is also covered. The aim is not to study the content of the individual standards, but rather to learn about their practical significance using examples and technologies and to apply them in day-to-day work. This workshop serves to increase safety and competence vis-à-vis customers and certification bodies as well as to qualify developers and safety managers. The course can be completed with an examination and a certificate.
